So on my down time, I've been doing everything but skating. What I like to call resting my hurt body. I've been working, editing, scavenger hunts, tattoos, etc. I have also had some time to make this video:

this dude owns the green machine ledge and definitely did not appreciate us skating it. upon arriving he almost hit sammy freyburg with his car. Risser gave him a piece of his mind though. that footage and maybe more next time.

So, top shop should be just about wrapped up by now. I don't really have any idea how any team placed. I'm sure it will be announced with much fanfare within a day or too, so check back soon (unless you are trying to maintain a 'too cool for contests' soul skater attitude, in which case you already took first place for having the most fun. Congrats.)

I hope everyone's been out skating as much as I have been. It's been awesome out, so take advantage of it.


Go scour the city or neighbor and find new spot, make new spots, renovate old spots, whatever. Just get out there.



I've been skating with Sean Hanley lately and we always seem to come back with a photo or two every time, this time at a spot I came across when cruising around. A disaster on this is no easy task.



Neither is a hurricane.



We even went to the spot that everyone knows about and that everyone's done every trick on. But we don't care about that. Sean has a pearly backside flip.



This noseslide is just a warm up for even bigger and better things to come, but you'll just have to wait and see what it is.



This thing is a lot harder to skate than it looks. It's down hill, filled with mud, and has tons of traffic waiting for your board to spit out into the road. However, it is easy to spot. I think Sean likes to wear the same clothes every time we shoot photos to make it seem like we shot them all in the same day (even though most of them were).



I work with Brian Alland at Phase II and he's been known to get down on occasion. Front board.



Even though it's nice outside, don't forget about your local skateparks. Erik Switzer is always blowing my mind with how much pop that boy has. Kickflip over the barrier, then down the five.



Do you even need proof? He's got it like that.
